Stone Mountain Golf Course is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are The Stonemont Course and The Lakemont Course.
The Stonemont Course opened for play in 1969. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
Both courses are scenic and located in the Stone Mountain State Park. These courses are home to an abundance of wildlife and afford spectacular views of the mountains. The narrow Stonemont Course features tree-lined fairways. The Lakemont Course is more open and was built around a lake. Water hazards come into play on six holes. Both courses have greens that are undulating. The terrain is quite hilly, so carts are mandatory.

A challenging course from the white tees (6,129 yds) because it's a par 70 with just one par 5 on each 9 so there are lots of long par 4s. The course is very scenic with numerous granite outcroppings and great views of Stone Mountain.
